Cancellation of a Part Order

If a parts cancellation request is received before any action has been taken to ship the part(s), and if the manufacturer allows cancellations, the customer will receive a refund, less any restocking charge. If the cancellation is received after the order has been shipped, or if the part(s) is a special order item, the manufacturer may not allow cancellation, voiding the customer’s cancellation. In either case, the cancellation will then be treated as a request for return.

Parts Request for Return Procedure

The Goodwin Tucker Group’s goal is to completely satisfy customers. If a customer decides to return a part(s), Goodwin Tucker will accept a return with prior approval. To receive approval, the part(s) must be returned in its original condition and in its original package to the branch, from which the part(s) was sold, Des Moines branch or Omaha branch. Electrical part(s) will not be accepted if the package has been opened. Refused and returned parts will be inspected to assess re-salability.

No returns will be accepted past 90 days from the date of purchase. The customer is responsible for the following costs: original shipping costs, return shipping costs, any restocking fee, repair charges for any damages incurred. GT will deduct the relevant charges prior to issuing a refund. In the event that the charges exceed the original charges, the customer agrees to pay the difference.

In any event, the customer will receive credit after the manufacturer issues credit to Goodwin Tucker. If Goodwin Tucker is found to have erred, a full refund will be given to the customer once the part(s) are returned to Goodwin Tucker. The return process requires more administration than most transactions, so refunds may take up to 30 days to be fully processed.

If the customer fails to follow the terms and conditions outlined here, no credit will be awarded.

Goodwin Tucker is limited to what the manufacturers’ warranties stipulate. Parts must be installed and adjusted by skilled personnel. Improper installation may cause malfunction and may void any warranty.
